This hotel is located on the outskirts of the city, opposite the night market. From the road you have no idea what luxury can be found here behind the wall. You will see it immediately upon arrival. An open layout ensures that as soon as you enter you have a view of the entire site.

We are escorted to benches and a receptionist comes to welcome us. A refreshing towel and a welcome drink are served. We also get a jasmine necklace.

The great thing is that when you enter a door you arrive in a large hall where daylight shines in. After that you have to go through pivot doors to get into the room. The suite is one big space. In the middle, the space is broken by a large piece of furniture on which the TV is placed. The TV faces the living area, it can be turned to face the bed.

In the living area there is a table with 2 chairs with some snacks and fresh fruit and a day bed. Outside you will find a very large balcony over the full width with a day bed and a table with chairs. Great spot to read/work.

The bed is comfortable. The open bathroom is striking. From the bed there is a view of the bathroom with the bath as an eye-catcher. The bathroom can be closed by folding doors so that privacy is guaranteed, when you shower you have a view of the toilet through the glass wall, so you do not have complete privacy when someone goes to the toilet.

Every day we got fresh fruit in the room. The sweets were already removed after 1 day. This was a pity. We had not tasted everything yet and there were tasty sweets.

The turndown service ensures that you get a surprise every evening.

When a suite is booked, you have access to Club Benefits, such as drinks and snacks during happy hour.

The pool is elongated and the sunbeds are on one side of the pool. Enough shade and enough beds. From the lounger you have a partial view of the river. Due to the wall near the river, there is no full view of the river, but that is not a problem because you have a beautiful view of the river from the room and you have a little more privacy at the pool.

The pool service is good. Cold water is served regularly.

There are two restaurants, Bodhi terrace which houses a Thai restaurant and Service 1921 in the former British consulate. You can very easily enter the city to grab a bite to eat in one of the many restaurants in the area or at a food stall.

The first rooftop bar in Chiang Mai is located in this hotel. Bar Bubbles is located on the roof of the spa. The bar is open in the evenings. The drinks are delicious, the view is perfect. Here you come to enjoy and toast to life.

The fitness center is big enough. All types of equipment you need are here. Nice music is played.

The breakfast is good. It is very much geared towards the Asian guest. You will find more hot food here than bread. The choice is ample. The fruit is delicious and the eggs can be ordered from the menu. The service is reasonably good. Many waiting staff speak little or no English, which makes it difficult to get even things like salt. You do not expect that you have to ‘talk’ with hands and foots in a 5-star deluxe hotel to get the basic things.
