Le Globe

This 4-star boutique hotel Le Globe is located in the middle of the village of Meursault.

We are pleasantly surprised about the interior of this hotel, a lot of attention has been paid to details.

Arrival

Despite arriving earlier than the original check-in time, we were told our room was ready. Great to be able to check in on time, even earlier.

We did not have to show a credit card or passport when checking in. Here the guests are trusted. This happens more often in France.

It had just been 2 pm, the kitchen for lunch was already closed. Fortunately we were able to get some cheese, sausage and wine. This is service, especially when the kitchen is closed. The gentleman of the restaurant is very friendly.

The room is big. View of the alley leading to the square. There are two relatively large beds in the room. The room is decorated in blue and green. This gives a chic, warm look. In the room a Nespresso coffee machine and a minibar. The water is free.

Paper animals hang above the bed. In the room a nice round bookcase with books. There is an eye for details. This room also includes a small sitting area outside on the patio.

The sitting area in the hotel is very nicely decorated. Green sofas, an orange/red painting and dark blue walls. Also here a cupboard full of books. Very pleasant to drink a glass of wine here or to lounge on a rainy afternoon.

Breakfast is not included in the room rate, it costs EUR 15 per person and is not extensive. Various sandwiches, some yoghurt, fruit, jam and fresh orange juice and of course coffee. We wanted an egg, this is not included in the price and can be ordered separately.

You are here in France, the bread is fresh, crispy and delicious. The croissant is also very tasty and fresh.

There are no other facilities in this hotel. This is the reason it is a 4 star hotel.

We could park in front of the hotel. If this doesn’t work, ask the receptionist to designate a parking space, she sometimes has tips.

A beautiful hotel for a reasonable price. Service is good, breakfast is ok.
