If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, if you want to be close to the entertainment, but at the same time you want peace and quiet then this hotel is the perfect location for you. Located in the Mandalay Bay, the Four Seasons has the top 5 floors. There is a private checkin area, a private pool, restaurants etc. You will not be staying in the Mandalay Bay, but you can use the facilities of that hotel.
Arrival
From the Strip you drive to the hotel and you immediately enter another world. At the entrance, the bell boys are waiting to help with the car and luggage. We hand over the car and walk to the reception where we are addressed in Dutch by Esther, one of the front office employees. It’s funny to be welcomed in Dutch in America. Esther indicates that the room is not ready yet, but that it is almost ready. We get a resort pass so we can walk around and also look at Mandalay Bay if we want to.
The hall has very beautiful flowers. A large hall upon entry where the lobby bar is located and where there is a small deli where you can buy coffee and muffins.
Suite (#35224)
We have a room on the 35th floor with a view of the Strip and the stadium. Upon entering, the huge hall stands out, as does the very large walk-in closet. The one bedroom suite is large. On the left a very comfortable sofa with chairs and on the right a large bed. It’s Four Seasons so there’s nothing wrong with the bed. It is very spacious.
What is striking are the floor-to-ceiling windows whose curtains can be opened completely. Maximum enjoyment of the view of the Strip and the Delano hotel. The view is incredibly beautiful. In the room a coffee maker, a mini bar and a large side table.
The bathroom is spacious and has a bath and a separate shower. There is a sink. What is incredibly well done is that there are two shaving sets, two deodorants and all items are for men. This is great, people know that we are two men, so we only get men’s toiletries.
Restaurants & Bar
The hotel has a restaurant Veranda. We didn’t eat here, we haven’t been to Las Vegas enough to eat here and wanted to eat on the Strip and at Alain Ducasse. Breakfast is also served in the restaurant.
The lobby bar is nice and has plenty of seating. The lady who serves us is very nice. The drinks are very good.
Spa and Gym
We didn’t take a massage, but we did go to the spa and gym. The gym is big, especially for the size of the hotel. There is a lot of cardio equipment and there are quite a few weights. The range of fitness machines is more limited, but enough for a hotel gym. Of course there are a lot of towels, there are cans of water and there is fruit available.
There is a steam sauna in the men’s changing room. The sauna area is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. The rest room has such beautiful chairs, you can spend a whole day here. The sauna itself is spacious and at the right temperature. The showers are very powerful. Great to sweat in the sauna.
If you want a locker, it must be released by the sauna manager.
Swimming pool
The pool is quiet. The seats are far enough apart. The towel service is top notch. They keep an eye on which chairs become available, so that new towels are placed there. Wonderful music is played at the pool. The pool service is very good. Enough people walking around, keep a close eye on the guests and make sure you don’t lack anything.
Breakfast
Breakfast is fully à la carte during the week and à la carte or buffet at weekends. There are many different dishes on the menu, all of which are equally good. The fresh fruit selection is very good. We chose to go for the buffet on Saturday. It is a very extensive buffet. One of the most elaborate buffets we have ever seen. Most of the dishes on the menu are also on the buffet. We enjoy it to the fullest. You have to pay extra for fresh juices.
The service is good, the food is very good and very tasty.
Overall
What a lovely hotel. When we return from bustling Las Vegas, we find our peace here again. It’s an oasis on the Strip. If you want to use the facilities of Mandalay Bay such as The Beach (swimming pool with waves and sand), you can, but if you want to get away from the craziness that is Las Vegas, you can do so at Four Seasons. We have decided that we will return to this hotel if we are ever in Las Vegas again.
